This weekend at WONDERCON the producers let loose some amazing footage from the upcoming GREEN LANTERN film starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong. Considering how poor the first trailer was after the initial viewing all I can say is: It’s about freakin’ time!

This is what should have been released as the first trailer. Since that trailer came out the THOR trailer and the CAPTAIN AMERICA trailer have come out and both was insanely greater and better then the GL one. Hopefully this release of footage marks the full-court press by Warner Brothers and the producers to undo that damage and promote the living hell out of the film.

Will it live up to this footage? Can it compete with THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA and the biggest question of them all: Will the 3D conversion suck? We’ll see.
Green Lantern opens in the states on June 17th and is Directed my the great Martin Campbell and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Jay O. Sanders, Temuera Morrison, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins.
