Get ready for this… it looks crazy. The simple slug line for this film is

A notorious criminal must break an evil curse in order to rescue an abducted girl who has mysteriously disappeared.

yeah… insane. Cage stars in this film from Japanese Director  Sion Sono with the amazing Sofia Boutella and  Bill Moseley, Nick Cassavetes, Tak Sakaguchi, and Yuzuka Nakaya.

Nick Cage has gotten to a point where he can do anything he wants and is starting to get a chance to do that with some amazing filmmakers

Official Plot Synopsis

Prisoners of the Ghostland‘s plot synopsis: “In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (Nicolas Cage) is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord known as The Governor (Bill Moseley), whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (Sofia Boutella) has gone missing. The Governor offers the prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within only five days, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman — and his own path to redemption.”

Prisoners of the Ghostland will be released in the U.S. theaters and VOD through RLJE Films in September 17, 2021.
